• Groupage – Where your shipment will not fill a container, you can save money by sending it groupage. This means your shipment will be loaded with others to fill a container. You should pay lower shipping charges, but delivery will take longer
•  Guaranteed Pickup and Delivery Service - A premium service whereby dates of service are guaranteed, with the mover providing reimbursement for delays. This type of service is often subject to minimum weight requirements

• Hauler - The van operator or agent that actually performs the service of transporting the goods on his or her equipment
• Helper - A person hired by the van operator or agent to assist in the loading and unloading of goods.
• High Value Article - Items in a shipment that are valued at more than $100 per pound
• Hourly Rates: Customers are charged by the hour per man, per truck
• Hours of Service - The maximum legal hours a van operator may drive and work

• Incline Dolly - Equipment used to move goods on or off stairs. It often is used with a stairmobile
• Inherent Vice - An existing condition of an article that may cause damage to that article if transported
• Insurance Certificate – The official insurance document given to you by the insurance company. You will need this in the event of a claim
• Inventory – A list of your belongings to be moved or a list of your belongings in transit or storage
• Interstate Move - Any move that crosses a state boundary, regardless of the number of miles. Distinguished from a Local Move and Intrastate Move
   
• Intrastate Move - Any move which does not cross a state boundary, typically over 40 miles. Distinguished from Local Move and Interstate Move
   
• Irregular Route Carrier - Any carrier providing non-scheduled service over irregular routes
• Irrevocable Consent - An agreement incapable of being changed or revoked

• Joint Rate - A single rate between an origin and destination point offered by two or more connecting carriers
